The table below shows the minimum lot charges for 1 to 20 pieces. Our actual quote will depend on material type, complexity of combined dimensions, any additional operations and actual finish. The plating in the chart assumes clear zinc plus 4 hours of baking to protect against hydrogen embrittlement.

The minimum lot charge covers engineering review time, purchase of the wire, setting up the machine, inspecting the parts, and any additional operations and finishing to custom-make the exact part that you want. We normally make your prototype with the same machine, tooling, and program as your part will run for production quantities. This gives you a realistic test of your prototype.
If your part is a standard, non-custom part and you require less than 100 pieces, you can get a lower price from a catalog spring company that keeps standard springs on the shelf. If you need a custom spring or wire form, then give us a call. Also, if you are ordering more than approximately 500 standard springs, we can offer a competitive price versus the catalog spring company price.
